Comprehensive properties of passive film formed in simulated pore solution of alkali-activated concrete

The study on the properties of passive films in alkali-activated slag cement can provide a theoretical basis for development and application low-carbon environmental friendly concrete materials. In this paper, passivation behaviour anti-corrosion rebar (AR) normal reinforcing steel (NR) sulfur-free simulated pore solutions pastes was investigated using electrochemical, microscale techniques molecular dynamics modelling. Results showed that formation time, composition thickness film were affected by types solutions. Molecular further elucidated reason difference protective ability three results protection capability two kinds obtained from consistent with those electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS).
